Olivia Claire was one of the sweetest babies I've worked with and her newborn session is definitely one of my recent favorites. She was about 3 weeks old at her session, but she still slept like a champ. She is such a doll! Her mom requested plenty of pink and that was no problem at all. You can't go wrong with pink for a little girl. I love how her session has that rustic vibe but also has plenty of clean, simple shots as well. I love to style every session but I also want my photos to also be timeless.
I don't think I could love Grayson's newborn session any more. I enjoyed working with him and his sweet family. His big sister is so in love with him and also loved being in front of the camera. That's a newborn photographer's dream come true. Welcome to the world, Grayson!
My little girl. :) This little crab tree in our back yard blooms for a very short time in the spring every year, so we had to grab a few photos with it!
Talk about a cute baby! William was a dream to work with and has the sweetest little features. I love all the different poses we were able to capture of him. I have so many favorites! I really enjoyed working with him and his super sweet parents. Can't wait to see him back in a few months!
How can so much cuteness be bottled up in one little 6-month-old baby?? :) I thought she had a lot of hair at her newborn session (and she did) but goodness, just look at that head of hair now! She's like a living baby doll. Stella, you are so precious. You made me work hard for these smiles, but it was so worth it!
6-months is such a great milestone and one of my favorite ages to capture. At 6-months, babies are just learning how to sit up but still do well lying on their tummies and will usually lie on their back and play with their feet (all super cute poses). Don't skip over this important milestone! If you don't have the perfect outfits for your baby's milestone session, don't worry! We have lots of cute outfits for baby boys and girls. See our website for sample photos. All of the outfits used in this session are provided by our studio.
It was so great meeting baby Taylor and her family! They were so nice and easy-going. Big brother was very cooperative and you can tell he's smitten with his brand new baby sister. Taylor's mommy really loves the rustic look (as much as I do!) so I tried to incorporate plenty of that type of look into her session. I love that she brought Taylor's grandmother's christening gown to use in the session. Such a special and sentimental touch. Can't wait to see this family again in a few months!
Fall is my absolute favorite time for family photo sessions, and I'm so in love with this session of Miss Haven and her adorable family. I think they're going to have a great Christmas card this year! How will they ever choose a favorite? It seems like yesterday I was doing Haven's newborn session and now look how big she is!
I don't think I've every met a more beautiful, adorable baby than Miss Makenna. It took her a little while to get in the groove (as it does with a lot of babies) but once she did, I was able to get a lot of great poses of her. Many people don't understand why a newborn session takes so long (usually 2-3 hours) but usually there are several breaks taken for feedings, changes, and soothing the baby back into a deep sleep. It takes a lot of patience to do this kind of work but it's oh so worth it! Here is a clip of her adorable 5x7 brag book:
I was thrilled when this family hired me to photograph them. They are another photography family (husband and wife are both photographers) so you could say the pressure was on just a bit. ;) They are some of the nicest people you could meet. We were blessed with great weather and the perfect grassy, rustic location (my fav!). As with all my clients, I strived to give them lots of variety in their session and they ended up with a ton of photos (you can never have too many!) It's amazing how many special moments you can capture in a 1-hour photo session. This mom described these photos as a "treasure" and I hope that's just what they'll do. I hope they'll treasure these for a lifetime.
I really enjoyed meeting John Elliot! He was such a sleepy, good-natured, smiley little guy. I've been wanting to do an outdoor newborn shot for a while (which can be a little trickier than it might seem, especially with this unpredictable Alabama weather and the unpredictability of newborns in general) and he just breezed right through the whole thing. I was so excited to get so many great poses of him. He's the fourth child in his family, but the first boy, and I know his parents and sisters are over the moon to add a precious baby boy to their family. Welcome to the world, John Elliot!
